The holiday delights begin with the trip from the Vinschgau Valley up to Trafoi on the Stilfser Joch pass route. The deep blue sky in contrast with the awesomely beautiful glaciers, an interplay of shadows and light among the rocky peaks. The main protagonist here is nature. 

Our hotel Bella Vista is set in a beauty spot, nestling beneath rugged mountain peaks at the foot of South Tyrol’s highest mountain in the midst of the Stilfser Joch National Park. It offers plenty for everyone: those in search of pure relaxation, thrill-seekers, walking and hiking enthusiasts, expert and novice skiers. The Stilfser Joch National Park (Stelvio) is a paradise for nature lovers, with endless high Alpine pastures, forests – all crossed by myriad well-marked trails. 
You can start at the front door and take off towards all points of the compass, or on skis – the lifts and slopes are directly in front of the hotel. For beginners too, the ski school is only a five-minute walk away. To relax, our extensive sunbathing lawn beckons surrounded by the most spectacular Alpine scenery imaginable.

Yes, staying at ‘Bella Vista’ is truly memorable. In the past travellers in the post coach stopped here and the first automobiles on their tour to the Stilfser Joch Pass also drove past ‘Bella Vista’. Over the years the hotel has lost none of its nostalgic charm. The exterior is characterised by simple architecture emphasising the intrinsic natural snugness and comfort of the place. Within the hotel is characterised by wood and stone, with plenty of cosy lounges, a warm atmosphere and of course the sincere hospitality of the Thöni family.
