Born at Trafoi on 28.02.1951, during the 1970s Gustav Thöni celebrated grandiose wins on the world’s racing ski runs. He began his professional career here at Trafoi, his birth place. As a young boy Gustav Thöni spent all his spare time on the slopes during winter. Commitment, diligence and ambition took him to the top of the international ski elite. His appealing South Tyrolean manner and ‘cute’ way of speaking Italian gained him millions of fans in Italy.
