Wilderness riding or on horseback through orchards and vineyards in the verdant valley floor - South Tyrol offers plenty for all preferences and abilities. It even boasts its very own horse breed, the Haflinger, named after the village of the same name on the Tschögglberg mountain above Meran. These fox-coloured, blond-maned equines are highly popular for their versatility and patience with children. Unsurprisingly they are absolute favourites among young riders. Stables in our area offer plenty of opportunities to become acquainted with Haflinger horses and to ride them. We will gladly provide you with information and addresses of local riding stables.
